NYTimes: Swiss Voters Projected to Back Minaret Ban

I read this NY Times Article at work today.  There is a controversy in Switzerland with just under half the population wanting to ban the minarets used in Islamic architecture.  It's a difficult call for the Swiss government because it wants to be religiously neutral while at the same time preventing any imposing religious symbols.  While writing this I listened to an NPR update which said the government had authorized a ban on minarets with a 57% vote in favor of the ban.
